What Is Classified Ads Posting

What Is  Classified Ads Posting
A free classified posting site is a classifieds site offering members to post classifieds in various categories at no cost to locate people to buy from, sell to, and negotiate exchange of goods and services.

Unlike any other commercial online advertising sites, a free classified posting site is only a venue, hence, it does not own or handle any of the goods and services listed on the site. As a result, the site cannot verify or endorse the quality, safety, or legality of the items listed, or the truth or accuracy of the classified ad.

Free Classified Posting Site- How To Avail Its Services?

In order to place an item(s) and service(s) on free classified posting site, you must become a member. The member registration process requires that you provide your full name, street address, email address, and other identifying information.

By completing the sign-up process in the free classified posting site and clicking on the button indicating that you have read the member agreement, you agree to the terms of the website.

Free Classified Posting Site- How To Select The Best Site?

As free classified posting sites have become a by-word for online advertisers, there is a proliferation of these kinds of sites in the internet. Responsibility now hinges on your part to select the free classified posting site to which you entrust your online ad. Below are 9 ways to consider in selecting a quality free classified posting site

1- Information. The site should have clear terms in handling the information which you provide to them or other members during the registration, or posting process, in any public message area or through any email feature, including all text descriptions and/or photographs, digital images, or renderings of your items and services.

2- Classified Ad Placement System. The free classified posting site should require you to agree that you will not use any device, software, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of their site or any transaction being conducted on such site. Further, you should be asked that you may not disclose or share your Password to any third parties or use your Password for any unauthorized purpose.

3- General Legal Terms. The classifieds site should clearly state that their service is provided "as is" and without any warranty or condition, express or implied. Further, the terms on suspension/termination, limit of liability, general compliance with laws, no agency, notices, arbitration, and the general laws covering the agreement should be clearly spelled out.

4- Maintenance & Downtime. The free classified posting site should clearly emphasize that from time to time they will conduct scheduled maintenance which may result to temporary downtime that may prevent you from being able to use the site and/or some of their services with an assurance that they will do their best to keep these periods brief, providing advance notice whenever possible.

5- Privacy Policy. The site should guarantee that the Personally Identifiable Information you provide when you sign up will not be sold or given to outside sources without your permission.

6- Descriptions & Photos. The classifieds site, in an effort to facilitate a trusting buying and selling community, should provide you with the option to submit pictures and/or a description of your item or service.

7- Use of Cookies. The site should guarantee that they use cookies to provide you access to protected pages without requesting a login each time.

8- Security. The site should have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under their control.

9- Access to your personal information. The classifieds site should guarantee that their priority is to keep your personal information private and confidential and they will not willfully rent, or sell your personal information to third parties except by your consent and in compliance to lawful criminal investigation, subpoena, court order or legal process.Developing free classified posting sites had been my son's favorite past-time and in so doing, he always made sure that the 9 self-imposed guidelines for quality classifieds site were always being adhered to.

Black Hat SEO vs White Hat SEO

Search engine spiders can spot the difference between white hat and black hat SEO efforts. Optimize your site with white hat search engine optimization techniques to increase your search results and avoid the penalties of black hat SEO.
• Meta Tags
Black Hat SEO - Stuffing or Spamming Meta Tags
Stuffing or spamming your Meta tags does nothing for your search results except flag your site as one using black hat SEO. Search engines are always on the lookout for spammed Meta tags. For example, let's say an online pet store called Fiction Pets is stuffing its Meta tags. The site's black hat Meta keywords might read:

Its stuffed Meta description might read:

White Hat SEO - Choose a Solid Keyword Phrase
Research your keyword phrase. Choose a solid keyword phrase that accurately represents your page and use it in your Meta tags. An example of Meta keywords:

A white hat Meta description could be:

• Content
Black Hat SEO - Hidden Content
There are many ways to hide content on your site. All of them are black hat SEO methods.

Hidden content includes white text full of keywords on a white background. Another black hat SEO method is using comment tags to hide keywords. For example:

White Hat SEO - Quality Content
Content that targets a strong, related keyword phrase on each page wins every time. After you've chosen your keyword phrase, use it consistently throughout the page. For example, a page with a Meta title of "White Hat SEO - White Hat SEO methods" could have this first paragraph of content:

White hat SEO is the key to effective search engine optimization. If you're not using white hat SEO methods, none of your SEO techniques will be effective.

• Linking
Black Hat SEO - Link Farming
The idea behind link farming is that you exchange links with other websites to boost your site's rank in search results. Search engines like Google examine how many sites are linking to yours when determining rank.

With a link farm, you've traded your link with many sites for the sole purpose of increasing your site's search rank. In effect, you're trying to fool the search engine into thinking your site is more popular than it really is.

White Hat SEO - Inbound Linking
When someone links to your blog post or a page on your site within their content, you have a quality inbound link. Unlike with black hat link farming, inbound linking is not a link list traded for the sake of boosting your search results.

Creating content that is compelling attracts site visitors. It also captures the attention of other webmasters who are looking to create their own content with contextual links to your site.

• Page Elements
Black Hat SEO - Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are known by many names, such as bridge pages, entry pages, gateway pages, jump pages and portal pages. These pages are created to spam search engines with a certain phrase.

A doorway page is created to get traffic based on keyword phrases and then funnel those site visitors to the main site. Most search engines catch doorway pages and sites are penalized.
White Hat SEO - Headings
A better use of page elements is to break up your page visually with SEO-friendly headings. An article using < H1 >, < H2 > and < H3 > tags that make good use of your keywords has more weight in search engines than a page full of regular-sized text.

On Page SEO Optimization Techniques

"On Page" SEO simply refers to the text and content on your web site pages. Basically editing your page and content so the Search Engine can find your webpage when a surfer is searching for your web sites particular topic.

On Page Search Engine Optimization has been around the longest, since the begining of search engines. Search engines used simpler less sophisticated technology a few years ago, and the World Wide Web was a lot smaller. At the time "ON Page" SEO Worked years ago, and it was basically an easy comparison. As the World Wide Web grew larger and larger it became more difficult for search engines to differentiate between your site and other sites. A search on "Autos" may return 100 million + pages that have the word "Auto" on it. So Off Page SEO began to take off as the World Wide Web and search engines grew in complexity.

On Page Elements:
On Page Elements refer to the html tags within the page. They include Heading Tags (<H1>), Title Tags, Bold Tags, Italic tags on your web page. Below is an example of phrase "SEO Company" used in a Heading (<h1>) and Bold

SEO Company
SEO Company
 SEO Company

Notice the difference?
In the HTML Source, The search phrase "SEO Company" Was placed between <h1> tags.
<H1>SEO Company</H1> HTML Tags
In the second version; It was placed between bold tags.
<b>SEO Company</b> HTML tags.

In the third version, it was placed between emphasize tags.
<em>SEO Company</em> HTML tags.

Natural On Page SEO:
•Your Search Phrases should be emphasized in a natural way for both the visitor and the search engine spider. Do not "Keyword Stuff" your web page, by repeating the search phrase over and over again in your webpage. This will often result in a Search Engine "Penalty" and move your sites ranking Lower in the results.

Unethical/Unsavory On Page Techniques:
•There are several different techniques known as "black hat" or "unethical" On Page Techniques. Some SEO companies engage in these type of activities and should be avoided. Sooner or later the search engines will catch up to these unethical techniques and the likely result will be your site being demoted or banned from the search engines. We recommend the following unethical seo techniques should not be used.

•Negative ON Page SEO Techniques Include:
• Avoid Using "hidden" or invisible text on your page for the purpose of higher search engine placement. For example the words/text for search phrase "Widget" in the html, the font color has been set to White. The background of the page is also white. Therefore the textual content is actually there, however the words are "hidden" from the surfer. This is frowned upon by search engines and frequently results in your site being penalized.

• Avoid Using Negative <div> htmltags. Div tags, Div tags are division tags. Unscrupulous seo services may insert them into your page with negative x/y coordinates to place content outside of the visible page for the surfer, but the text itself is in the html page. The search engine finds the keywords in the text, yet the surfer does not see it. Again a technique to be avoided and not recommended under any circumstances.

• Avoid Cloaking or Sneaky Redirects. Cloaking refers to serving up 2 different types of content based on the visitor who is visiting. Is the visitor a regular web surfer, serve up this page. Is the visitor a search engine spider? Serve up this OTHER page specifically for the search engine spider. The other page being served up is typically garbled textual content with no meaning to a human, and is stuffed with various keywords and search phrases. Again this technique is not recommended and will likely get your site penalized or banned from search engines.

• Avoid duplicate content. Duplicate content means you create one web site, with content on topic a, and then repeat the content over and over again on multiple websites. In theory you could create one website, achieve high ranking on it, and then clog up the search engines with the same content duplicated on multiple domains. Again this is not recommended and should be avoided.

SEO Process : Importance of Keyword Selection

Most business owners that decide to improve their offline business by going online are the most likely to ask their web designers just for some beautiful website. However, a website should be more than just a beautiful wrapping of an offline business, but an appealing and yet client focused platform.

Search engine optimization is a general term that everybody knows. Most people however think of SEO as if it was just some extreme link building process, with no prior preparation. The truth is SEO is worthless without a proper keyword analysis and selection.
Everybody thinks about building a site, stuffing it with lots of useful content, hoping to drive traffic and make sales. In order to achieve online success you don't have to forget to pay attention to the foundation of all that. Keyword analysis and selection represents the foundation of each online project.

Knowing from the beginning which are the keywords you want to optimize your site for will make all your SEO endeavors much easier. Not only it will be easier to implement SEO, but also your marketing strategy will be more concise. Thinking about keywords before setting up your website is a plus, as you will not have to go back and tune things in order to make them work better.

The keywords you will optimize your site for must respect a few characteristics:

1.) Keywords must be representative for your business, services and products. It's absolutely normal for your keywords to represent your business. You can not optimize your site for "plumbers new york" if your company is in Chicago. There are lots of sites that are being optimized for certain keywords that have nothing to do with their services.

2.) Keywords must meet your visitor. Make sure you understand what your keyword means and what your visitors’ expectations are. You have to put yourself into your visitor's place and figure out what are his expectations when typing your keywords into a search engine's search box.

3.) Keywords must have a reasonable number of queries on search engines. It is said that long term queries are more likely to convert a visitor into a client. That's true, but you have to be really careful when choosing 6-7 words long keyword phrases, as those keywords might not be very popular among search engine users.

You might find yourself in the situation of choosing the perfect keyword for you and then see that keyword is very competitive. There are 2 solutions in this case. One of them is going geographical and adding your city, county or region to main keywords. The second solution is finding some other niches that aren't very well developed and where you can have better chances of succeeding.

Once you have found the right keywords for you, take a look at your site's content. Try including keywords in content, but don't do it aggressively. Common sense is a rule in SEO too. Don't use weird phrases or sentences just for the sake of SEO. The site is for human visitors after all.

The first place where you should put your keyword is in your meta tags. It's not that important as it used to be, but it's still a must do.

Respecting this few, yet important keyword selection steps, will definitely help you implement your overall SEO process.

I hear from many people who want to be told exactly what they need to do to get high rankings and bring more targeted search engine traffic to their websites. I wish I could provide them with a straight answer, but every site has its own needs when it comes to SEO. Which means there’s no exact rule that will work each and every time for any website.

One thing, however, that can help you figure out how to SEO your site is to learn the whys behind the specific techniques you always hear about. But to understand the whys, you first need to get the gist of how search engines work. Sounds scary, I know, but I’m going to make it as simple and painless as possible – so stick with me!

In very simplistic terms, there are 2 main components to the search engines: the crawler and the algorithm.

The crawler, which is sometimes referred to as a spider, a robot, or simply a bot, is what goes out on the web and fetches all the pages of information that it can get its virtual spidey legs on.

The algorithm (or algo) is basically the ranking formula that each search engine uses to determine the relevancy of any page that the crawler finds.

The search engines use this formula to decide – out of the pages that were previously fetched – which pages they should show for which keyword phrases that any searcher might type into the search box. Those keyword phrases are also sometimes referred to as a person’s “search query.”

While the algo is a formula, it’s so complicated that it’s not something you can simply reverse-engineer. The engines look at hundreds of factors and weigh them all differently. This is why you’ll find that automated SEO software doesn’t work well to increase your rankings.
